We invited Jody to lead our Women’s Retreat and had given her our theme. When Jody arrived she sensed something was amiss. She asked several questions in her sensitive and caring way during the dinner pre-ceding the first session. That night she stayed up talking and praying with pastor’s wives and women in the church. When she realized the divisions in our church, she asked if she could change what she was speaking on. We agreed. She led us through biblical counseling on “Conflict Resolution”, applying the “Matthew 18” principle and “Forgiveness”. It transformed our women which led to healing in our church. This is the heart of Jody Capehart. She is connected to the Lord and His Word in a way we have never experienced before in our Women’s Ministries.

We bring our entire faculty and travel from out of state each year if we know that Jody Capehart will be speaking at any of the Association of Christian Schools International Conferences.  We know that she provides the most innovative educational practices of any education speaker and we can always count on her to provide new material each year. I have heard some of these words before and I am familiar with these scriptures.” But she presents them through her lens of love in such a way that you hear them in a way you have never heard them before. I’ve heard her speak several times now, and each time the response is the same. At the end, parents come up and ask her “Can I take you home with me? We need you for our children as well as our marriage.” What is her “secret”? She will be the first to tell you, “It is the Lord Jesus Christ.”

When we look back on our grown sons’ education, no one had a greater impact on them than Jody. Her heart for children and for the Lord, combined with her amazing knowledge of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to educating them, has left an eternal impression on both our son’s lives.
