Jody Capehart has been involved in education for over 35 years. She has started several private Christian schools over the past 37 years including Grace Academy in Dallas,  Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, and Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, TX and served as their administrators. She served as a minister to children for 8 years, including 6 years at Grace Bible Church, and has been involved with Child Evangelism for 25 years.

Jody is the author or co-author of 12 books/video series on education and parenting, including Teaching With Heart (Gold Medallion Nominee), Discipline by Design, You and Your ADD Child, Cherishing and Challenging Your Children, The Discipline Guide and Becoming a Treasured Teacher. She is currently writing books on

brain research and a Christian Charm for Girls. Jody works with Hope for the Heart in Dallas, and serves as the Ambassador for Legacy Christian Academy.

Jody’s wisdom, experience in education, warmth, humor and wealth of practical ideas make her a much-in-demand speaker for conferences for schools, churches and women. Jody is the Education Host for the new webTV4Women which launches in January.  Jody’s heart-felt goal is to equip educators, empower parents, energize grandparents, and encourage  children and teens as she provides enriching education programs on the Education Channel.

Jody is married to Paul Capehart who is in his 38^th year with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Their personal lives revolve around their ministries at Stonebriar Community Church  in Frisco and three grown children and young grandchildren. Jody's personal interests include reading, music, gardening and of course, her family.
